Fixing instructions of Wintop Vitrified Tiles

  • First of all, need to plaster the surface of the floor with smooth finish and complete the plastering curing at last two weeks to tiling.
  • Care should be taken that iron rods used in concrete are not exposed at any place. If the tiles are laid with exposed iron rods subsequently there may be rust formation and air bubbles that may lift up the tiles.
  • Before fixing Wintop Vitrified Tiles, lay them outside in the desired pattern and make sure that they give an acceptable blend of colour. (Shade variations are inherent characteristics of vitrified tiles. the company will not bear any liability after the tiles are fixed).
  • In case of multistory building it is advisable to order entire quantity of each floor from the same batch in one lot to avoid shade variation, so you can achieve desired combination on each floor.
  • For fixing wintop Vitrified Tiles on the floor, using sand and cement, follow the instructions given below:
    • Used cement and sand mortar in the ratio of 1:4. Add some water to create a consistent paste.
    • Once the mixing has completed do not add any further water and used the same within one hour.
    • Apply a 20-30 mm. layer of bedding material over an area of one square meter at a time on the surface of the area. Apply fine slurry to the back of the tile.
    • Apply fine cement slurry to the back of the tile to ensure proper and full bonding on the surface.
  • Fifteen minutes after finishing the grouting process, wide of excess grout with a damp sponge and polish the tiles with a soft and dry cloth for a clean surface. The tiles cab also be cleaned by mild acid (However Hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives should not be used).

Please ensure the same arrow pattern and look for the arrow ( ) on the back of the tile and follow the laying pattern.

  • As per the ISO Guidelines, It is advisable to maintain a gap of 1 mm to 2 mm between every two tiles to allow for possible expansion as per BIS/ES tolerance norms.
  • For proper bonding Press the tiles gently with a wooden mallet to make proper adherence. (Don’t use iron hammer or any heavy material to press the tile).
  • Allow 3-4 days for bed curing. After this period fill the joints with any flexible grouts.
  • he tiles can also be cleaned by mild acid; however Hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives should not be used without knowing its actions and reactions.
